Thanks for answering!

Not exactly OS startup.
Main Menu: Enter command or menu〉

BOOT:

Two possibilities: 1.You've chosen a wrong key-board maping. 2.You got a wrong keyboard/ non standard keyboard for HPunix/unix system, not every keyboard can be used under unix system.

My kbd is just HP brand, but I do not know whehter it is special for UNIX, or only for PC or for both. I have no other kbd at hand, so I can not test others now. Anyway I wil try later if possible.

There's third posibility: your keyboard's gone. OS cann't recognise maping problem, Chip's rignt, hardware check will be passed. I've met similar problems which caused by above three reasons.

Are you installing HP-UX on your PC? Or are you using your PC to Access HP-UX?

After login, remove the file /etc/kbdlang, then reboot, the system prompts to select a new language, select English in US, continue, everything is OK! BTW, I use HP B180 workstation with HP kbd.
Thanks everyone!
