枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / 求教:我一家三口在多伦多(男孩子三岁半),姐姐(已入籍)和父母(去8年等绿卡)在美国,我们刚到加国一个月,请问我姐姐希望我儿子到美国见爷爷奶奶(与孙子未见过),到使馆获得签证的可能性大不大(只我儿子去),需要什么文件,什么程序,多谢!!

让这么小的孩子一个人去一个完全陌生的地方,面对从未见过面的陌生人(即使是爷爷奶奶),好象不妥.起码应该有一个大人陪同,孩子才会有安全感.

孩子好像和爷爷奶奶有天然的血缘关系,每次通电话都没有陌生感,而且也很想去那里,再说多伦多冬天很冷,我们又是刚到的,要花时间去适应这个国家要打工糊口,让孩子陪着渡过难关好像不太忍心

my thought1. You can apply visa for your son alone, document needed: passport, landing paper, photo, make an appointment for interview first. you can search for Rolia using keyword like "美国" "签证".
2. It all depends on whether the visa officer believe your story or not, show the officer some pictures, ask your sister write an invitation letter to you.
3. By applying for your son alone, it might be successful. anyway you have to try it out.

2. Tell them grandparents haven't met your son since he was born, really like to see him this coming Christmas, your sister will pickup and send him back in a month or so.
3. I hope the officer would be humane enough to show some mercy in your case.

B2, cash is not acceptable, ask help from a friend who has credit card is the simplest way to pay, any date you are free.

孩子应该只需要DS-156表吧,还有要求中"Prepaid bank deposit slips (Toronto Consulate only)"是指委托银行交申请费100美金吗,还是使用登记的信用卡交?谢谢
