问美国vw要,当年我的车是tiguan,美国vw说不符合美国要求,要modify,你可以去buffalo找制定的店家modify车,他们会帮你搞定一切过关手续, 不过车过去以后在上牌之前,不能回来

不知道了，因为你是vw吧，我当年因为要去california, 路太远，我就把车卖了，亏了好多钱，来美国后就改开日本车了

because California has the most strict emission requirement. Even your car is OK in other states, but it may not be allowed in California.

that's not true, when I request the letter from VW US, they don't know I want to import car to California.
That means eventhough you want to import your car to other states, you still need to modify.

suggest to sell it here and buy another one. If the car is not made in N.A., you may have to pay duty.
