枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / 小妹住在远离多伦多的小镇，请问各位大虾美国签证可否邮寄材料办理，如果签出，最近听说不能在同一天拿到签证，可否由朋友代领？如果在网上预约后，又想cancel换另外的时间面谈，是否还要再付＄10？望有经验的大虾指点。

US VISA can be applied through mail. This is how you can do it.1, make an appointment and get the application materials.
2,Once you get the material, cancel your appointment through an automatic telephone canceling system.
3, Mail your finished form and relevant materials to the Consulate. REMEBER to enclose a prepaid return envelop in your mail.
This method works at least 3 weeks ago(my friend got his VISA this way).

Forget about refunding. After mailing out your application, it generally takes 1-2 weeks to get your visa.
