my friend have rent a bachelor appartment for me in Vancouver only 495/month, I think if you can't find a roommate this kind is also not a bad choice.

Thank you.Thank you for your kind reply. But may I ask about where your apartment is. My friend there told me it is really expensive for housing around UBC. Even for basement, it is around $500 per month. I searched online and try to find something, but most of them are two bedrooms, so I finally try to find another roomate.
If your apartment is near UBC or on the direct bus route, do you know whether there are some more rooms available? Thank you so much.

you are welcomemy appartment is in east Van, but on the direct bus route to UBC, if you take bus about 50 minites, if you drive, it won't take too long.
The housing around UBC is much more expensive and difficult to find. I don't know if there are more rooms available in my building. if you are intreasted, I will ask my friend.

try Acadia Park on campus. one room in 2bd-apt shared with a family (typically with one kid) is around 320-350.

Actually I applied Thunderbird apartment, but I was at 176th on the waiting list last month. I think I need at least half a year to get the housing on campus. Thank you for all your advice anyway.

t-bird is another story. waiting time is 9 months or more for a 1bd-apt, shorter for a bachelor.as for Acadia, you don't need to APPLY for anything. search the ads, find someone who is looking for a roommate, or someone saying 1-room available in 2bd-apt. it is easier for a female student. good luck.
