graduate co-ordinate is always a senior professor in the department.you could find who is he/she on the department's website. normally he won't interview each students. only the proposed professor sometimes wants to interview the applicant. if he is only interview as graduate co-ordinate, i guess it is only general academic questions. -bjduck(北京烤鸭); 2002-6-7 {270} (#563829@0)

i think there should be good thing for you. if the dept is not interested your background, they don't spend time to talk to you. For research interests, you can tell him what is your background and experience.also tell him you may change a bit if some profs (not in your area but close to your area) would like to supervise you. Is the department Computing & information Science in U. of Guelph. If it is, I suggest you not to study with the Graduate Co-ordinator as long as you have other choice.
