I got the letter of admission from the department of Civil Engineering at the University of B.C. yesterday. And I will pursue a master of eng. in the Speciality of Environmental Engineering.Compared with the degree of Master of Applied Science, it usually takes a shorter period of time to earn a degree of master of engineering, but the applicants can hardly get funding. If you want to attain a degree of Ph.D after your graduate study, to apply for a degree of Applied Science is wiser. As I know, M.Eng is a course program. No thesis, no project, sure no financial aid. Normally, M. Eng is the program for part-time student.
