工作学习 / 求学深造 / 各位DX,请问大家所说的热门专业生化是指biochemisty or biochemical engineering?两个好像不同啊?前者属于science,后者属于engineering.

The former belongs to Life Sciences, while the latter usually belongs to Chemical Engineering. In US and Canada, they are quite different, requiring totally different courses. Neither is good in finding a job.

说正经的，Biochemical Engineering 确实还不到热的时候。前期的实验室研究还没有真正成熟的理论，后边的市场又受多种因素的制约达不到规模。传统的 Biochemical Engineering 侧重生物反应过程，细胞、组织大规模培养，生物分离技术。
现在则偏向于热门的生物识别、转基因工程、纳米技术等等。

拿倒不一定，我国内学Biochemical Engineering 的同学们出国后还没有听说谁转行了。Biochemical Engineering 里边包含的方向还很多呢。
