If you have money, you can go for private school which offers summer credit courses. For public school, no, you can't.

我的小孩刚来时也是6月份， 我给他找了一个DAYCARE，虽然学不了什么东西，但是可以尽快的熟悉语言环境，你也可以利用假期教他一些日常用语

Look at the post, her/his kid is in high school. I don't think Day Care works for the kid.

I suggest you send your kid to 新东方 China to study English in the summer. Otherwise he's going to waste 2 months here unless you pay a lot to send him to private school.

初一 == Gr. 7 in here. So it's more like elementary school than high school. You have to wait to September for him to go to school. No choise.
