my best guess is that you are setting up a web dev env, where your server can response both http and https. If i am lucky to guess right, you still need to let people who want to help know what os and what web server you are using.certificates is generated by tool software, you should be able to diy. certificate need to be authorized, which technically never be free. But, it is only required when you do some serious business. keep up, man.

thanks for the advice.. right. I gave up the ssl after a week attempt and use http for now.we are still investigating the possibility for ssl.

For testing purpose, you can just ask QA (or people who trusts the site) to install the dev-generated certificate. Once goes into production then you may need to buy certificates signed by well-known CAs.
