Hey, Cheer Up and Smile :-))I did not receive reject letter from U of T, so I cannot give you a for-sure answer. But according to my experience with a lot of other universities in Canada, they do send out reject letter to those failed candidates.
If you do not receive anything from them, it would be good news. I submit application in Jan too, and received the admission letter in May. Hope this is the same case for you.
