你贬低给你offer的学校，不也是同时贬低了自己吗？没有人规定大学要给每一个学生提供免费午餐啊。

目的就错。天下没有免费的午餐，怎么加拿大就会有呢？如果你结了婚，有孩子，双方都没有工作，才有可能贷到15,000CND。但是毕业后是要还的。除非那个时候你的经济状况不好，可以得到一定的减免。最新的规定，贷款的学生毕业5年内不允许申请破产 - 欠政府的钱多少要还。

If U have no money in bank, apply for loan. If you think Windsor is no good, try to get admission to UT or U of Waterloo, and then you will get financial support for free.

As far as I know, someone in UT did not get financial aid for the first year PHD study. It's hard to believe . The reason is that early Chinese students switch to CS afterenjoying financial aid in their first years. Professors become "smarter" for later candidates. It's the lesson Canadian universities learned.

不是每个中国人都象大家想象的总是拿高分多大的只FELLOWSHIP, 只要你是M.A.SC或PH.D的学生,原本都是给你的.
有个附加条件(当然不是只针对中国学生),就是要保证平均分在B+
以上, 或者你的PROGRESS 令你的教授满意.
B+是个硬指标.第一学期三门课,如果考个A-, B+, B-, 那FELLOWSHIP
就没戏了.
不知道你朋友的具体情况.刚入学的新生是看他们以前的GPA
给FINANCIAL SUPPORT 的. 还有就是看他学位的性质,非
研究性学位没有或很少的经济资助.

:) But government have to pay interests for you while you are in school and the first half year after school. Just be a little bit nice :).If you don't have any income the past year, you should be qualified to the student loan if you take the offer.
