谢谢， 我现在用的是component cable，没有显示720p or 1080i，只有fixed，upconvert1， upconvert2. 是不是只有用HDMI cable 才行。

No, you don't have to use HDMI cable. Component cable also works fine. Among those, there should be a pass-thru option, once selected, the TV will automatically adjust the display based on the signal.So the pic will be 480i, 760i,1080i depends on the channel signal.

按menu一次,上下键找到Picture Formart, 改成720P. 现在电视转播HD只有1080i and 720p. 没有必要1080P. only blue ray DVD support 1080p
