工作学习 / 专业技术讨论 / anybody knows what mail-enabled contacts are in exchange server?thanks a million. I never done it, don't have a clue about it. if the mail is unabled, what's the point to put it on exchange server?

you need to read some basic documents. Contact=mail-enable user=a user has EXTERNAL email address=almost has nothing to do with your exchange. Normally contact is used to list external user in GAL.any user that has a mailbox on your exchange server is a mailbox-enabled user.

mail-enabled user doesn't have a mailbox in exchange. mail will send out to user's smtp mail address
