工作学习 / 专业技术讨论 / 这里有没有微软Exchange邮件服务器的高人?我有个Exchange logs的问题。Each log entry looks like the following --
"User_Name, W2K_Account, Logon_Time, Last_Access_Time, Client_Version"
Under Client Version (last column), you see a lot of "HTTP", ....but sometimes "OLEDB"! -- Is this common?? What kind of connection could that be (looks like access via a DB client??)?
多谢!!

under which folder you see this log? and the log file name?this log merely means there are people who are accessing their email via OWA. you shouldn't be alarmed.

if they access email via OWA, shouldn't it be just HTTP (from the web)?let me tell you the full folder path:
owa users (Exchange) --> Administrative Groups --> Toronto --> Servers --> MAILSVR02 --> Staff --> General Staff --> Logons.
does this help?

again, back on this, here's my conclusion based on googling :)this seems to indicate an alternative method of navigating the email store (other than OWA via http). this method of querying the Exchange database could be a 3rd-party vendor application
or self-developed SQL-type queries, since OLEDB is SQL compatible. The latter is not uncommon among development folks.
do i make a lot of sense? :)
