yes. but it is better to use the router's buildin DHCP server, since it is always on.

dhcp server也是always on啊。router built in的一般功效差，还是专门dhcp server好。做 relay agent嘛

DHCP是最简单不过的server,router里面的已经够用拉。除非你的domain里面有很多很特殊的设置，router 已经足够。

而且很多时候，gateway重起的几率大于服务器，到时用户突然没了局域网，就要叫唤了

dhcp request is broadcast. so u can setup a PC as DHCP server as backup. dhcp client take the ip from the first response. My linux dhcpserver is always faster than router's dhcp service. So, I know when they login.I set the dhcp lease time to 5 minutes. So I know how long they use internet from the dhcp log.

if there is requirement on 1. multiple network, 2. bind IP with MAC, .... don't router's builtin dhcp service.

着啊，所以家用没人用dhcp服务器，商业没人用dhcp route
