I have a crash dump file from customer site and I need analyze it. I tried open the file but no clue how to debug on it. Any hint, please? Thanks

You mean the windows dump file? how big is it?

If the file is small, that is not a real dump file, because user can choose what to dump.

I use Windbg in NT and 2000. NO IDEA WHAT CHANGED IN XP.

my OS is Win 2K. The dump file is about 16Mkb, I think it is a user dump file. I am able to open it, but I don't understand the information in Call Stack, Memory, etc.
