Nope. Just an idea came up when I was surfing the internet. I saw a couple of sites have something like this.The cover picture of the video file is the first frame of the video. So wondering if I can do it. Maybe they did it manually.

Good to know. If you can do it by using program then I hope we can have a chance to talk about it.I think it is doable based on different video type, encode and decode method .... then we can find where the frame is. But this feature is not critical to us for the first release. It is a good to have feature. I will put you into my contact list. We will contact you within sereval months. Check you PM.

You didn't get the point, the point is the server should not do that, too many reasons: 1. You need to have tons of codec installed on server, 2, Huge server burden, 3 fake video file may be upload and hack server ...

I can do that. But I don't know much about JAVA. And there are so many kinds of video format.

It is alright. We can do it step by step. First relese we will only support WMV then we will build AVI,RM . You can build the feature into a c/c++lib file. I believe Java has interface to include c/c++ lib. Will talk
