I think, that depend on the browser and webserver. My apache2 server "get" limit is 6000. There always people use extra length url try the server.

你们怎么全讨论到get去了，俺的post的问题谁再想想？俺用的是Apache1.3.33和php4.3.9，外面的服务器是linux（不知道具体那种），自己的在2000上。都一样的问题

http protocol does not set limitation on maximum the request url, nor on the maximum length of the whole http get/option/post/... request, it depends on the www server/client that implements http protocol
