Very useful information. I phoned United Van Lines. They gave me a number to call--the price is >$1800 US! Much higher than the total value of my asset :) ..U-Haul is about $500...We do not have many stuff, but our own car is too small though. We do not have enough time to sale stuff. And do not want to sale everything first and buy everything again in US---not only costly, but time consuming...How much you /yr friend spent last time? Thanks.

你如果距离不远的话,就租U-Haul搬好了,如果远的话,还是劝你把东西半卖半送,到了新地方再买,我们用自己的小车搬过从洛杉矶到温哥华,累到不行,那时还年轻呢!

其实带一些必要的行李就行了。美国有很多Moving Sale，经常有很便宜和很新的二手家具。新的家具也不贵。
