看了以下公司的SB5100 TVCABLE MODEM的说明书，该MODEM有DHCP SERVER，可以提供给31个PC上网，这样的话，就是说该MODEM把对LAN的接口看成了另一个子网了，我的PC如何获得Internet上的IP呢？我罗嗦了，谢谢。

My Internet knowledge is a bit outdated. Could you explain a little more about NAT? I want to run an FTP service in my computer. What IP address should I give the peer entity? thanks.

1. Read the manual and find out how to configure your Modem(router), most likely web interface; 2. Map inbound port 20,21 to your internal FTP IP; 3. Give the external IP to user.
