They would punch a hole on your canada driver license. Or you need test road test.Everyone choise first option. You could claim lost to canada for 5 dollars to get a new one.:))))

Ali, how you change it? They require two ID. If PR of Canada with Chinese passport, then they ask for an appoinment for document review(IN DC, VA, MD. there is no appointment in Aug and Sep already). Very complicated.

1.2.31. check driver license office website for detailed requirement, check under subject out of state DL transfer..
2. Basically you need valid visa, I-94, letter from employer or H1, or whatever INS document you have, proof of residence, check or money order.
3. They will take away ur Canadian driver license if you have any....don't be surprised.
