枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / 大家给出个主意吧. 我在国内, 已拿到加拿大的PR. 男朋友在美国工作, 绿卡2年了. 我们打算结婚,可是结婚后我就再也去不成美国了.为了能近点, 是应该我去加拿大呢? 还是我在国内申请 B1/B2旅游签证, 然后再美国呆着不回来了, 跟他结婚, 境内等绿卡, 这么做有什么不好和风险吗? 像我这种情况, 怎么办最合适?

2) 7 年, 太长了.可否我们先不申请, 等到他两年之后入籍后, 然后再申请团聚, 会不会快点?
3)如果我持B1/B2 签证到美国, 然后马上在美国结婚, 不回来了, 可不可以在美国境内转身份? PR Pending时, 可以在美国工作吗?

Thank you so much. We decide wait till he becomes a citizen. Aong this certain period, I will move to Canada to close him, then we marry and deliver baby in CA as well.Because he is near 40 right now. Sigh, he has to fly back and forth but this is only way to make sure we can be together. Damn US!

Don't panic yet. Everything should be fine. Besides, based on my current knowledge, if one of the parents is a US citizen, you can deliver anywhere you like, and the baby will be the "US citizen born outside".

如果他是绿卡身份，你和他结婚的话是不能获得绿卡身份的； 也没有相应的VISA给你这种情况的人。而且你签证的时候很难签，因为这是典型的移民倾向。相反，如果你男友是H1,你还方便些。

因为他是绿卡的单身，所以结婚的话她只能是保持自己原来的身份。如果他们是结婚后同时申请绿卡的，可以同时发下。

Have you read the immigration regulations ever? It is clearly specified at USCIS website. I copy here. The only restraint to me is that the applicant must be in US. Please don't mislead people if you don't know.

My friend holds GC, he cannot get married with girl living in China, cause she cannot get GC and cannot have a definite visa in states. I learned all of this from his experience.In my case, i always use B visa to meet my bf in States, each time i cannot stay exceeding 6 months.Not sure whether you can enter states, since to marry with GC holder has serious immigration trends in the immigration office's eyes.

Of course you can apply for an immigration visa. Anybody can if the he/she is in US, and he/she is a spouse of either a citizen and PR. The only difference is the time.
