请了解的dx介绍介绍。由其是存取款的时间大概有多长？还有它的交易软件能不能是走http的还是socket?如果要走socket，恐怕穿不过公司的的防火墙。

wins大侠来了。多谢先。据你所知，IB有没有基于http的交易平台？否则就只能考虑ameritrade了。上班不能交易乃一剧痛也。

No, it does not provide IE-based trading system. I had an IB account before but I never use it because of its stupid trading system.

IB is good. It can trade options, now it can trade Canadian stock as well. The only inconvientis money, if you want to use checks, they will hold 10 business days for deposit, and if you withdraw money , for example, BMO will hold about 30 days( because it is citibank NY). If you do daytrade more than 3 times within 5 days(<25000USD), they will punish you according to Nadaq rules. I do not know if ameritrade has this or not.

IB's trading program is very good. If you use Linux , it is very stable. For Windows platform, it is Windows' fault. By the way, IB is continue adding so many function. It is very good for active trader

appreciate what you introuduced. just one question: is the trading system able to get through the company firewall or proxy server?I know it really depends on the configuration. but how about the typical setting? thanks. I am actrually trying the software. It is a Java applet based plug-in. It does use socket and using port 4000 as i found.

In order NOT to be classified as pattern day trader, you can do 3, but not 4, daytrades in any rolling 5-day period. This rule applies for all brokers.

谢谢wins和haah。由于抵挡不住IB的超低commision。今天一上班就在公司网络里狂试IB的交易软件。昨天晚上用VPN试了，不行。结论是：IB的交易软件不能穿过典型配置的公司代理服务器或防火墙。IB交易软件其实是一个Java插件，使用winsock layer协议与IB的交易服务器的Socket port 4000通信。他要求客户端使用1024以上的Socket口。
一般公司的PROXY SERVER配置不会让你随意使用Winsock穿过，除非你是网管+Auditor，那你就可以任意配了。
由于白天在公司无法操作，不得不放弃IB。不过假如你是一个在家里使用宽带上网炒股的选手，IB还是很值得考虑的。
