1. www.interactivebrokers.ca provides the lowest commission for small investor; www.ameritrade.ca is also the cheapest broker in canada. All other Canadian borkers charge more than $25/1000 shares, they all suck.2. In Ameritrade, you can only use US$ to buy US stocks. Other brokers in Canada allow you to use both US$ and CAD$ to buy US and Canadian stocks.
