I heard the qualifications to apply a Visa Cold is based on income and the person's outstanding loan. Even a person has low income but have a good credit might be approved.

I got one from MBNA. Pretty easy. But I apply for regular card first then upgrade to Golden card.

MBNA sucks, it doesnt cover car rental insurance. otherwise, golden card means less, doesnt it? : (

Are you kidding? I used it to rent car for over 10 times without problem. Just no cash rebate or points to accumulate.

Could you pls give more info about your card? On the MBNA official website, nothing shows gold card can be used to cover car rental insurance! thanks.I really want to know about it 'coz it will help me decide to apply it or not.

很多金卡不cover租车保险，比如citibank，通常他们的白金卡才cover。

问题是MBNA的白金卡也不cover，有这种事吗？我想申请多大的这种MBNA affinity platinium credit card,但申请的网页上没写，条件和普通卡一样，是不是就是不包括租车保险？

白金卡和金卡都含auto rental collision insurance，我打电话问过了。网页上只列了普通卡(preferred card) 的features。如果你还是学生的话，可能申请不到白金卡。
