工作学习 / IT技术讨论 / 问题：家里有一台PC(Win ME)用sympatico 高速上网，一切正常。这两天又装了另一台机器，WINDOW 2000 SERVER，问题就来了。急需指点，谢谢。问题：家里有一台PC(Win ME)用sympatico 高速上网，一切正常。这两天又装了另一台机器，WINDOW 2000 SERVER，包括：DHCP，DNS，IIS，等等组件。但是开了SERVER后，所有机器(包括SERVER)都连不上 SYMPATICO 的 SERVER了。有没有人可以指点一下。我装SERVER的目的是在家里建一个局域网，同时 SERVER 又可以做 WEB SERVER 用，可以允许我从外面其他机器访问家里的服务器。谢谢。

两台机器是用HUB连起来，HUB连到MODEM，MODEM连到电话线。谢谢。

u need to talk to ur ISP or use free host service.

I will just type IP address to access my WEB Server from outside if I connect Modem directly not via Router.

if u still want to do it that way, check ur router manual, I believe a simple setup can let u go http and ftp

也可以不用router，而把那台win2000 server config成一个路由器

You don't need download any software. just set w2k server for internet share. It works same as route. the only thing is you have to keep the server running all the time.

Thank you all. I have another question:each time, when I dial up to connect to Sympatico, I will get a different IP address for the Network Card connecting to the modem from W2K server. If I setup this W2K server as a web server, how the URL address binds to the different IP?
