Moneris Solutions will charge $50/month for equipment rental plus transaction charge plus whatever visa/mastercard charge (2-3%). It only works for frequent users like stores.

Moneris Solutions is a joint venture of Royal Bank and Bank of Montreal. There are private companies doing the same business as MS but offer cheaper transaction charges and rental fee.Even that won't save you much. The cheapest way I can think of is to ask someone who has business setup to process the transaction for you. You may pay on per transaction basis.
I'd like to know too if there is any other way.
