If you carry balance at a higher rate on another credit card, you can transfer it to your AMEX Card as long as you are offered a lower rate. Otherwise just leave it blank.

thanks,but didn't get u,...if i put 500 on there,,then what 'd happen if i use this "other credit card " to purchase sth later on?the amount of purchasing will be transfer to Amex?

See Inside如果你欠别的信用卡的钱，可以转为欠AMEX的，因为AMEX收你的利率比其他信用卡低一点。这个低利率一般只是头几个（6个？）月而已。如果你不欠别的信用卡的钱，Balance Transfer 对你没有什么用处
