I tried. When I use LAN, I disable the wireless, the IP configuration get from LAN DHCP server.

what is the error msg? it is related to network connection or the email configuration like smtp or pop3/imap. check them

It seems the outlook pass the authentication, but no e-mail can been downloaded. why there is no any problem when use wireless connection

how about regular network activities other than emails, e.g. can your boss access your LAN server? Normally wireless card communicates with wireless station on your LAN, shouldn't be other ISP.

There is no problem to access LAN server if use LAN connection. The wireless card connect to ISP I am sure. we have no other wireless station on LAN

Check your Firewall, any restriction on stmp and pop3.

try telnet the pop3 server, thru command lines you may found something wrong.

I can tracert to the e-mail server pop3 port. as I mentioned, It works with wireless card and a different laptopI think maybe it caused by some config of the wireless card. anybody used such card which can connect to ISP directly?

Normally, YOU shoud use your ISP SMTP server when you send email, even though you use different reply address, other ISP disable you use its SMTP server if you don't connect directly.This policy is for blocking email spam. So I suggest you check the Outlook configuration.

Outlook has two mode, internet only and workgroup which use exchange server,. you may try to switch the mode to make it work.
