枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / 请教：我父母夏天会来加拿大探亲，我们想和他们一起去美国玩。是让他们来加拿大后，再申请美国签证，还是让他们在国内申请美国签证。哪边申请比较好？

因为有人讲，这种情况，即使来了加拿大，也要回中国申请，否则，在这边申请，几乎都要被拒签。情况是不是这样。如果您有有同样经历的，请提供一些这方面的经验，不胜感谢.

Before 911, you can. After, you can not. So the best would be to get the visa in China. It may be the only way too

It should not be difficult. I did it for my parents three years ago and did not have any trouble with it.

Your parents do not have to go there in person.You could go to the the web site of Canada Emabassy of States, download all applicarion forms and filled it out for your parents and provided all required documents, as well as application fees. Your parents just send it over when they are in States and wait for the visas there. I assume your parents are going to stay in states for a while. If not, I guess you may need someone speaking English to help them get the visa if they have to go to the consulate.
