yes. I've been using datek for $10 / trade for years. now it merged with ameritrade and the commission increased t0 11.

可以short吗?我说的可是加拿大哦。没有美国地址是不能在美borker开户。要是真这么好，一年的交易费可以省2个月房租呢!

Try it. It is much better and cheaper than those suck Canadian brokers, such as tdwaterhouse, CIBC, RBC, etc. I used it for 2 years, so far so good.But remember to fill in the W-8EN form, otherwise, you will be charged a very high capital gain tax by the US.

It is still an American broker. It just sets up an office in Canada to accept Canadian resident. Every trade you order happens in the server of US.

Only by mailing a cheque or wire transfer. Wire transfer need a fee, either in or out. (for transfer into Ameritrade, you bank will charge the wire fee, for out, Ameritrade charge 10)
