再问一个驾照问题，朋友问我，我答不出来我这个朋友是00年拿的G1驾照，应该今年夏天过期，比如说7月15日。
这近5年来没有考G2。
问题是：
如果他在过期前考过G2，7月15日后再换驾照，新换的驾照给的是新的G1还是G2？
如是G2，他是否需要在多长时间内考过G?
如是G1，他是否需要再等及个月才能再考G2?

从拿到g1后5年内必须拿到g,否则要重新考g1。拿到g以后就永久有效。换驾照的时候看情况是否需要换照片。

听一个朋友说，他拿G1牌2年后考过G2、再过大约3年后，让他重考G1、G2或G。我原来也认为：从拿到g1后5年内必须拿到g。实际上这也是我问这个驾照问题贴子里的不能确定的问题

New licence holders have five years to complete the program and graduate from Level 1 (G1 or M1) to Level 2 (G2 or M2) to a full class licence (G or M).

ANOTHER five years from Level 2 to a full class licence. (we call it G2 exit)

If you got g2 AFTER 4.5 years, how can you get G within 5 years???
You have to wait one year then you can take the test to get G? right?
Think it carefully.....

What are the options for the holder of a G1 licence coming up for expiry?
A G1 driver may:
Take the G1 road test to graduate to G2.
Take the knowledge test and vision test to keep G1.Upon passing the test, the driver pays the $75.00 licensing fee and receives a new licence good for another five years.

这是个特例，在过期前一年状态改变的特例。他在7月15号之前考过g2的话，会直接给他个新的驾照，是g2的，五年有效期，他不需要在7月15号以后再换其他的东东。但五年内必须把g给考了。
