Tell me why? If I ask the Netscape 4.5.1 to open a ASP file, It just open it like a text file. : (

I never used 4.5.1 before. But if the protocol is http, how can it open like a text file? weird. ASP is only server side stuff, while browsers are on client side.

If I open that ASP file in NETSCAPE on the server side, it shows like text file. And if I open the file on my laptop using IE, it seems that the ASP code doesn't take effect. In fact, I just want to browse that ASP code using NETSCAPE on the server side coz there is no client in the production mode.

北极熊肯定是第一次接触这种东西. ASP 是在Web Server上动态翻译代码成HTML的framework, 所以Web Server必须支持ASP. 在google上查ASP apache 应该能找到很多信息.

but I searched the web site of www.netscape.com. There is no plug-in patch for Netscape to run ASP under Linux. Could you give me the link to perchase that plug-in patch?

Look up ChiliSoft product; ChiliAsp, Its allows for asp to
run on an apache server.http://www.chilisoft.com/
http://www.HalcyonSoft.com/
I believe there is also an Apache::ASP
based on mod_perl.

ASP是服务器端语言，任何浏览器都不认，估计你说的是怎么让netscape 可以理解ASP的文件后缀，是吗？你需要在ASP代码里面指引浏览器这是个HTML 代码，具体好像是用response.setContentType 命令吧
