that depends on how you set up your collation in the database. If collation setting is case insensitive, the answer to your Q is yes, otherwise N.

1.for SQL 2000, you may change collation after the installation.
2.for SQL 7 and SQL 6.5, you have to re-run the installation to change the collation.
