枫下家园 / 理财投资税务 / NYSE和NASDAQ的股票符合什么条件会被停止交易?很想了解美国股票市场的一些交易规则,不知道哪里有这方面的资料?
哪位大虾可以指点?

There are a few situations may be considered as 停止交易. Do you mean stop trading, delisting, halt or what?

If a stock is traded under a buck for 60 consecutive business days, it will be delisted from either NYSE or NASDAQ. A company can require for halt its stock from trading for some days due to reasons such asreorganisation, accounting procedures, stock split etc. SEC filing may also result in stop trading. The stock markets can stop a stock's trading if it doesn’t meet certain criteria such as delaying of submitting required accounting documents.

thanks a lot.

It has to be under a buck for 60 consecutive days. If one of the days it ended over a buck, it will be counted from that day again. Exception is possible if the stock markets granted. Relisting is also possible if astock meets certtain criteria.

So that means if the main shareholders want to hold their stocks in NASDAQ, they can achieve their goal through some marketing actions, buying stock in higher market price more than a buck. Is it right?

Institutions (such as Goldman Sachs) hold majority shares of most stocks. If they want a stock down, there is no way you can stop. Individual investors have to be very careful.

Oh, I have an another question. Does it mean if the market price is higher than a buck, then stock can list in NASDAQ if it already lists in NASDAQ second market?

Not as simple as that. Playing penny stocks is always risky. Buying and holding them is even worse. Trading may bring you some profit but it is also risky.
