Personal Check is ok. Need to go to local Bank of China for redemption. They charge around 20RMB (if I remembered right) and it take about 1 month to clear the check.

personal check 比较安全。虽然cash比较慢， 如果路上寄丢了的话， 打个电话去你的银行cancel 支票，钱还在你的帐上。
