am preparing my FI visa, too. but I still waiting for my I-20 from school. would you please tell me where can I get DS156 and DS 157, what is proof of ties?

Logon to the www.nvars.com, get your credit card prepared and make the appointment with the embassy at Toronto. The forms will be send to your home by mail. My email: dibchen@hotmail.com

给F1们一点信心。我觉得这里签证比较容易，签证官不会为难你。我是没有奖学金的，5分钟搞定。大家不用担心。而且其它类型的签证似乎也不难，我就只看到两三个人的护照被当场推出来的（一个半小时左右时间）。

我登陆9个月没有工作过，没有奖学金，老公在工作。签证前准备很多东西，他只看了老公的雇佣信和工资单（还是我硬塞给他的），其它硬塞都不要。5分钟当中还有2分钟在和旁边的签证官说话。

好象是自费留学的F1好签一点，国内拒的很多是有奖的，而且拒N次，过的有若干是没奖的。听说是这样。
