本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛码字太慢, 凑和着看. My case is different from you. My tooth is good but the gum is poor. At the beginning of this year my gum hurt and I went to see the dentist. I was advised to have a periowave treatment, (costs $180/treatment) which is a more conservative treatment than flap surgery. Since I had a flap surgery before and thought I would prefer flap surgery. And the dentist said she didn’t do that and if I like she would refer me to a gum specialist and she also advised me that because the pocket is so deep, chance were gum specialist would pull out my teeth. I was scared and hoped I would go back to Toronto one day soon to have my old dentist (who did a flap surgery for me) to get it done. So I went home.. until the other days my gum hurt again. This time the dentist said the pocket was so deep even the periowave won’t help me and I need to pull out the tooth and have a bonegraft in side the extracted site ( costs $900) and follwed by a dental implant 6 months later, which includes 1. Titanium Screw in bone (costs $1600) 2. Crown on top of Tatanium root (costs $1800)
