各有优势。L1是经理级签证，只适用于跨国公司，申请比较复杂，办绿卡成功率高，但是速度并不一定快，而且期间不能转换公司；H1是技术签证，申请相对容易些，而且可以带着case转换公司。其实，绿卡的快慢完全看你们公司的律师水平，而且不同的州速度不同。加州比较快，平均大概1年左右，如果你肯回国面试，几个月就可以。

我有一个印度的同事, 在美国呆到第4年的时候开始办绿卡, 结果律师公司搞的不好, 第5年的时候没办下来. 这家公司效率很差,还丢文件我们公司就换了一家律师公司. 这时候由于他仅剩1年的签证 (H1最多能呆6年), 这家新律师公司就让他在485批准之后回国面试, 整个办理时间是6-8个月. 我们还有一个英国同事也是这样办理的, 6个月. 具体的步骤俺不大清楚, 但是的确是经历了两个实例, 都不超过8个月.

485 is green card application.485 is green card application. No. he doesn't. It usually takes a year in California if you don’t want to go back to your own country for interview; if you will, it will be faster. However, some other states process cases much slower.

L1 has L1A and L1B, H1 has H1A and H1B.L1A can stay for 7 years, and it's for managers. Very easy to get GC;
L1B can stay for 5 years, not easy to change a job, others same as H1B;
L1 is for company internal transfer only.
H1A is for scientists or artists, very easy to get GC, but it's not easy to get H1A, you need prove yourself are very special people;
H1B can stay for 6 years, GC hard to say easy or difficult, you need queue for it and a little bit luck.
I guess H1B is the suitable one for you.
