Normal.dot file is corrupted. do a search on your computer and delete all "normal.dot", then restart your Word. MS Word will recreate a clean normal.dot for you.

what version? try "help / Detect and repair" from PPT or EXCL, not sure it would fix Word problem or not.

在标尺旁边按鼠标右健，有个LIST 出来，里面‘STANDAR’ ‘MENU BAR’
等，如果这个还不工作，重装WORD。

rename normal.dot to normal.old, start -- run -- PATHTOWORD\word.exe /a and you will get your word back like new installation.
