枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / Anybody working in US as contractor, while holding TN? W2, 1099? how?签证有困难吗?我目前是Permanent和TN. 想换contractor type. 但是记得当时申请时, 签证官问过我, 是不是有一个以我名字命名的公司在加拿大?是不是说independent contractor 不Qualify for ＴＮ？

where should you register company or corporate in this case? Canada or US?I was thinking that if registering in Canada, it more or less seems business-to-business relationship and may have export/import laws to follow. Am I mistaken? also, who suppose to generate the letter to Visa officer then? The company provide this contract opp or just my own explanation?
