1. 你要有可改写权限. 2. Download that file. 3. Remove the file. 4. Upload the file. 5. over.

Thanks. I am talking about Unix/linux, my question is: When I am still in ftp session, if I want to move a remote file to its upper directory(still remote), what can I do? Have you ever try "quote"?

I mean, not by doing it as "ftp>get a.out", "ftp>delete a.out", " ftp>cdup", " ftp>put a.out" --- That looks to me a little stupid.

Rehat Linux. Well it works fine for moving the file to the upper dir or sub dir, but when I tried to move it to /tmp/, it said "Invalid cross device". Thank you.
