This Near Eastern pastry is made of many layers of
paper-thin dough with a filling usually of honey and ground nuts.
If you like honey, you'll probably like Baklava. Prep
Time: approx. 30 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 30 Minutes.
Ready in: approx. 1 Hour . Makes 2 dozen (24 servings).
Recipe has been converted to metric.

225 g unsalted butter
225 g phyllo dough
240 g chopped pecans
9 g whole cloves
355 ml water
67 g white sugar
1 cinnamon stick
235 ml honey


Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2 Melt the butter over low heat. Pour 2 tablespoons of
the butter into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Layer 3 sheets of the phyllo dough in the pan. Trim dough to
fit. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of pecans over the phyllo
dough. Layer 3 more sheets of dough, brush generously with
the melted butter, and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of
pecans. Continue dough -butter- pecan layers until pan is 3/4 full.
3 With a sharp knife, score phyllo dough to form
diamonds. Press a clove at each end of the diamonds. Pour
remaining butter over the dough.
4 Bake 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until
golden brown.
5 Meanwhile, combine the sugar, water and cinnamon stick
in a medium saucepan, and bring to boil, stirring
constantly. Simmer for 10 minutes.
6 Add the honey and simmer for 2 minutes longer. Remove
from heat and discard cinnamon stick. Pour honey mixture
over hot baklava. Let cool on wire racks. Cut into diamonds.

  • 枫下家园 / 美食天地 / 从美国回来,带回来一种中东的小点心,非常非常的好吃,各种皮,有酥酥的,有脆脆的,有很细的一根根的丝拉出的,从来没吃过,不知怎么做出的
    里面是夹的各式果仁,上面撒了果仁磨出的粉,甜甜的,奶油味很浓,但一点都不腻,但很可惜,只有美国有卖,所以只能省着吃了。不知道各位大侠知不知道这里有没有卖的?如果有类似的东西,告之一下,免得我“弹尽粮绝”,多谢!!

      • 是吗?你知道加拿大有卖吗?倒是想自己试试能否做出这种味道,但不敢.. 已经分给一些朋友吃,都觉得非常好吃(想减肥的除外,哈哈!)
        • 应该有, 至少希腊餐馆或者中东的餐馆会有...不过, 每个地方的味道都不同...自己做做, 没准不错...瞧, 让你把馋虫引出来了...也许我会试试...

    • 我怎么经常看见这东西啊,别的地方不记得了,但有两个地方是肯定有的,一个是Islington地铁站,是一家点心店,一个是eglinton地铁站,是一家食品店(门口卖水果蔬菜,里面是各类食品)都在地
      铁转bus的路上,不用出站。不过我没此都是被它们的外观和香味吸引买了。吃的时候并不觉得非常好。

        • Islington 那家肯定有,Eglionton那家因为不是点心店,去的时间不对可能会卖完了什么的。不过感觉Eglionton那家的相对好吃些。
