Your natural gas and electricity bills will continue to come from your local utilities. The only thing that will change is that Sunwave will be listed as the supplier of energy on your utility bills. Your electricity price will vary month to month and will be equal to the Hourly Ontario Energy Price (HOEP) applicable to your local utility plus 1.75c/kWh. All other charges related to the distribution and transmission of electricity by your local utility will remain the same. These include, but are not limited to, line losses, delivery, transmission, regulated charges, and meter charges. You will also note the addition of the Global Adjustment charge to your bill. This is a regulated charge that is normally bundled with the cost of electricity to form your utility default energy rate, known as either Time-of-Use rates or Regulated Price Plan. When you choose a competitive energy supplier such as Sunwave, the Global Adjustment is unbundled and shown as a separate charge as Sunwave is supplying energy only.
