If you tell them you married, then tell all truth. you have to assume they know all about your husband's H1B. otherwise if they find out you lie, probably you won't get any visa before or even after you becoming a Canadian citizen.
I think there are good chances you can get B1/B2 if you can show a tie in Canada, i.e. permanent job, a residence for years etc.
You can also let them know you two are seperated soon, but the officer may or may not believe you.
You have another choice which is apply for H4, dependent of a H1B holder, then B1/B2 if divorced
