you still stay on your TN, You can leave / get in US from any PoE(port of entrance) with your TN. You do not have to go though canada.
The only concern is you plan to handover the I-94 or not when you departure US.
I was told by the poe officer if the trip is less than 30 days i do not have to handover. I never handover and never have any problem come back from canada or overseas.
But other people do not agree and have other opinion.
But whatever you handover the I-94 or not, You should always
-keep a copy of your current I-94 with you
-Have copies of latest 3 paystubs with you
-If yourTN was approved in US by mail, you should have the original I-797a . You should have this original document, not copy , with you also
-Others (maybe): copy of your degree certification / script, nice to have
When you come back US, if you have not handover the current I-94 before departure, then you just need to show them the current I-94. Other document based on they ask
If you have handover the current I-94, when you get in , you need to show the copy of current i-94 OR orginal I-797 if you have one. Other document based on they ask
As long as you are still in TN, you shall never let the POE office know your girl firend or fiancée is US citizen.
2. If you married and filed I-485, AND you do not plan to leave US untill your green card get approved; AND If your TN still have enough time left before your green card get approved; Then you can still stay on your TN till you get green card. But do not leave US before you get GC
3. If you married and filed I-485, AND you plan to leave US before your green card get approved; Then you should applied the AP+EAD along with your I-485. Before you get AP+EAD approval you should not leave US.
I do not want to know your private matters but I just curious why you so eager to travel to China before your GC or EAD+AP is done?更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
