I am using HAWKING Router. I followed you direction. but my Web host and MSN voice communicatoin function doesn't work properly either. my router setting detail is (Screen copy)...

This menu allows you to map your LAN computers to the WAN Service Port. With this feature, you can map your LAN Servers such as Web Server, E-mail Server, FTP Server etc. to the public WAN IP for remote user access. Here is the list of well-know service port : FTP - 21, Telnet - 23, SMTP- 25, DNS - 53, HTTP - 80, POP3-110. The setting will take effect only after the device resets.

Setting (2): Advanced DMZ Host:

MSN can't work with NAT, which is used in your Router. So MSN voice conversation doesn't work behind router. One way is... -ggwd(Victor); 2002-9-8 {113} (#735769@0)
If your computer IP is 192.168.1.x, put this ip in DMZ, which is configured in Router. Or using Yahoo..

sorry, have no idea w/ that... I'm using LinkSys BEFSR41 w/ its latest firmware... don't have to do anything special for msn messenger... just using the factory default settings... -xmlhttprequest(xmlhttp); 2002-9-9 (#735969@0)
