Never translate your program to one which you can't find it in Canada's universities' program list. We'd better use the name they familar with, is that right?
1) Communication Arts:
SPECIALIZE IN:
BOOK AND MAGAZINE PUBLISHING (Centenniall)
CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS (Centennial)
RADIO AND TELEVISION BROADCASTING
CREATIVE ADVERTISING
2)COMMUNICATION STUDIES
Communication Studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the traditional forms of mass communication--print, radio, film, and television. It also examines the emerging interactive telecommunications networks and computer systems that have introduced new media and services such as satellites, teleconferencing, and electronic publishing. The emphasis of the program is academic rather than technical. The aim of the Communication Studies program is to produce graduates who have acquired skills in communications analysis and who have a synthesis of knowledge in the increasingly complex field of communications. Related careers include advertising, market and audience research, editing, research, public relations, and policy research.
3) PUBLIC POLICY AND ADMINISTRATION
The Department of Political Science offers a program in Public Policy and Administration. The required courses in the program include Quantitative Methods in Policy Analysis (Statistics and Research Design), Public Law, Economics, and Public Administration. The purpose of the Public Policy and Administration program is to provide students with the skills required for public sector employment as well as to provide a broad education. In addition, many graduates have gone on to graduate school or law school, or have found private sector employment in areas dealing with government. A limited number of internships are available to students in their third and fourth year of study in the program. Application to the program is made after one year of university level study.
