The general course descriptions are as follow:
philosophy
Focuses on the connections among its main branches: logic, theory of knowledge, metaphysics, etc. The course is concerned with such questions as: what is sound reasoning? what can we know? what is ultimately real? Is morality rational? Do human have free will? Is there a God? And some opinions on the universe.
History
It includes China Modern History and World Modern History. A study of political, economic and social change from late to the present time.
Physical education
This course increases student awareness of issues related to a healthy lifestyle and to the role of physical activities in promoting health across the lifespan. Important concepts and techniques in all major kinds of sports are introduced and practiced.
Higher mathematics
This course includes calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and advanced ordinary differential equations, elementary mathematics, etc. It demands students to be able to solve basic mathematical problems in their specialization in the future.
English
A continuation of study based on the University Entrance level. Expansion of grammar, vocabulary, practice in comprehension, translations, compositions and conversation.
